Best Unusual or Unique Venue

Cahoots

Inspired by true events in post-war Britain, Inception Group founders Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling set to bring 1940’s London’s illicit subterranean escapades to the 21st century Kingly Court. Throughout World War II, several disused underground stations were converted into air-raid shelters. Revellers would bring trinkets and furnishings to transform these shelters into a ‘home away from home’. Alongside these various knick-knacks, a bar was often set up, allowing citizens to drink, dance and entertain themselves, boosting public morale during those dark Blitz evenings.
