The main reason why The Grand Connaught Rooms should win this award is that we have a space for virtually anything you can imagine. We have 42 meetings rooms on site ranging from 6 people, all the way up to 1500 in the Grand Hall. Most venues either have the one big space for 400-600 but then struggle with the breakouts needed, or have the breakout space but not the large room to accommodate the numbers. We have both.
Furthermore, the way the venue is laid out, with our 3 separate wings gives us 2 distinct advantages: firstly- it allows us to section off zones into exclusive self-contained areas and secondly; you can get to any point in the venue 2-3 different ways allowing clients to be very flexible with the flow of their event. Printworks London (Venue Lab)
Printworks London (formerly Harmsworth Quays) was established in the docklands in 1989, and for 24 years The Evening Standard, The Daily Mail and Metro newspapers rolled off its presses. The unique site has now embraced a new lease of life, in which the former factory’s warehouses and magnificent Press Halls have been revived as ground-breaking, multi-purpose event spaces. . It comprises over 5-acres of private, gated land, with six event spaces arranged over multiple levels with a maze of corridors and offices.
The venue offers 119,200 sq. ft. of versatile event space with a capacity of 6,000 and a 2am licence at weekends. A further 40,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space and parking is also available, offering producers, agencies and brands masses of creative, flexible and inspiring infrastructure.
All the events that happen at the Saatchi Gallery demonstrate the versatility of the space; from turning the traditional Gallery look and feel into a Rock and Roll phenomenon, a Fashion guru party scene fit for Kate Moss, plus a live SuperCar Launch which was streamed live to thousands of people in China.
We pride ourselves on helping make our clients’ vision a reality. The wide range of events that we hold within the Gallery really does show clients the limits we can push the building to. The process of planning an event at the Gallery can range from a matter of a few weeks to 2 years.

Somerset House is an iconic, neo-classical building situated on the north bank of the River Thames. It has become a leading centre for contemporary culture in London with over three million people visiting the historical venue in 2016. Somerset House is a charitable trust and events held at the venue directly contribute to its cultural programme.
Somerset House sells and manages 13 venue spaces including the River Terrace, The Edmond J. Safra Fountain Court, the Embankment Galleries and the Portico Rooms. These spaces can accommodate a range of events including press days, product launches, receptions, dinners and conferences.
With its diverse collection of indoor and outdoor events spaces, which range from 54m² to 3,250m², Somerset House has been the venue of choice for a number of high profile companies including BOSCH and San Miguel.
Somerset House’s highly versatile venue spaces range from the traditional and authentic Navy Board Room, perfect for private dining events, to the quirky and original Deadhouse, the oldest part of the building and a favourite for film location managers.
One the last remaining independently-owned entertainment venues in London; Troxy opened in 1933 and remains a famous landmark It even boasts its own Wurlitzer pipe organ – Europe’s largest – which was lovingly restored over seven years But Troxy isn’t a museum, it’s a much-loved venue that still draws thousands of people for amazing nights out. Managed by a very experienced 13-strong team, Troxy hosts a huge variety of events including major concerts, awards, conferences, sports, weddings, immersive film screenings and televised events. Despite being a historic venue, Troxy has inbuilt flexibility with more than 1,000sqm of uninterrupted floor space, a hidden second stage, full in-house production facilities, 15m high ceilings, 24 hour loading access, a large fully fitted professional kitchen and a layout which offers a capacity ranging from 700 for awards up to 3,050 for live music shows. 2016 saw Troxy host performances from Kano, Kaytranada, Jamie XX, Garbage, Craig David and multiple night residencies from The Specials and John Carpenter. It also hosted The Kerrang Awards, D&AD Awards, The Times+ Caitlin Moran Q&A, The Unsigned Music Awards, and sell out indoor sporting events including UCMMA nights and Ultra White Collar Boxing.
