Friends House

Over the last seven years Friends House has undergone a series of refurbishments to modernise its meeting rooms and create new event spaces. This was an ambitious and challenging project: Friends House is a 90-year-old Grade II listed building and home to the busy central offices of Quakers in Britain.

The venue now offers 32 flexible meeting rooms and event spaces, including an impressive auditorium called The Light, which reopened in 2014 after a major refurbishment. Our facilities can be configured to suit our customers’ needs, be it a meeting for six or a conference for 1,000 delegates.

We pride ourselves on being an ethical and sustainable venue. During refurbishment we carefully followed the principle of reduce, reuse and recycle. Old benches and wood panels were reused in The Light, and our garden was re-landscaped using old paving stones for the new pathways as an example of sustainability best practice.

Printworks London (Created by Venue Lab)

Printworks London (formerly Harmsworth Quays) was established in the docklands in 1989, and for 24 years The Evening Standard, The Daily Mail and Metro newspapers rolled off its presses. The unique site has now embraced a new lease of life, in which the former factory’s warehouses and magnificent Press Halls have been revived as ground-breaking, multi-purpose event spaces. It comprises over 5-acres of private, gated land, with six event spaces arranged over multiple levels.

The venue offers 119,200 sq. ft. of versatile event space with a capacity of 6,000 and a 2am licence at weekends. A further 40,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space and parking is also available, offering producers, agencies and brands masses of creative, flexible and inspiring infrastructure.

Printworks is the ultimate blank canvas for conferences, exhibitions, experiential events, concerts, product launches and filming. We don’t think there is anywhere quite like it in London. The Guardian called Printworks “eye-popping”, Time Out called it “genuinely impressive”, Elle Magazine said “Just: YES” and when we launched Amy Lamé, Night Czar for Mayor of London said: “The Printworks is a venue unlike any other in the capital and I’m so excited about the launch of this innovative space.”

The Grade II listed Victorian Bath House is Camm and Hooper’s most successful venue and is truly a hidden gem in the City of London.
