Best London Rooftop or Venue with a View

London’s latest rooftop hotspot, Aviary, ten floors above Finsbury Square, offers breathtaking views of the capital’s iconic skyline, sensational cocktails and internationally renowned DJs for a vibe that’s more Café Del Mar than City of London.

This alfresco ‘room with a view’ features the sort of furniture and soft furnishings seen in the pages of a glossy interiors magazine – picture sink-in sofas, scatter cushions and vintage lampshades while fire pits, lit at night, ensure that chilling under the stars comes without…well any chill.

Food is taken as seriously as Aviary’s liquid libations with a week-day lunch menu that’s big on seasonal British ingredients and responsible sourcing from whole bone-in wild fish through to rare breed steaks Come evening, it’s all about bar bites – think lobster tacos, prawnish pasties and beef yakitori.

Aviary’s summer sips are as delicious as they are instagrammable Shaken and served by some of London’s finest mixologists, contemporary concoctions come in copper tankards and pineapple sharing serves.

The rooftop terrace at Aviary – an uplifting alfresco experience with added altitude.

Coq d’Argent Restaurant & Bar

A masterclass in French cooking at its best, the restaurant is the ideal place to escape those day-to-day stresses and enjoy top-class food, discreet service, fine wines and the feeling of being well and truly taken care of. Coq d’Argent has a long established reputation for excellence, not only in the quality we bestow but also for the care and attention to detail displayed by the whole team.

Tamesis Dock

Tamesis Dock, a 1930’s Dutch Barge, has been a joint collaboration between a brother and sister team Neither had any hospitality experience however they had some boat- building experience and a vision that the river was an under-utilised opportunity

They found Tamesis (formerly known as The English Maid) in a run down and degrading state but in an area that they believed was developing and with views that were unrivalled.

With 2 outside decks covering East to West we get incredible sunsets every night and boast amazing views of Westminster Palace, The London Eye, Battersea Power Station, MI5, MI6, and all the ducks, cormorants and birds that have made their home near us

We have an interest in technology and have collaborated with universities to develop reed-beds on the side of the boat to encourage bio-diversity, flora and fauna. We have developed most of the in-house software that we use from our events calendar to the stock control program.

We have now got a second boat in Nine Elms (also a 1930’s Dutch Barge), which we believe will be a great complement to Tamesis and continue to take the river from strength to strength.
