2018 was a landmark year for MInistry Venue’s 103 Gaunt Street, hosting 43% more events than the previous year and winning prestigious award ceremonies from both British and international companies.
WIth significant investment in its technological and environmental infrastructure in 2019, the venue drastically reduced its use of single-use plastics, switched to digital communication across every process of its venue hire process and invested in high performance technology to replace the need for printing branded materials throughout the venue.
The venue hire team grew by 150% to provide clients with a high level of service and bring new corporate clients to working with the venue. Every potential date in December was full with conferences and celebrations, as the venue’s busiest month to date.
While the team introduced a brand new venue into its portfolio, 103 Gaunt Street outperformed targets, bringing in prestigious brand clients including a number of FTSE 100 companies and world class brands.
Royal Institute of British Architects
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) was founded in 1834 for the ‘advancement of architecture’. Our venue, RIBA’s headquarters at 66 Portland Place, was built in 1934 and has a long history in hosting events for learning, sharing and entertaining. The venue’s Art Deco design has been maintained in its 85 years, and is considered one of the best examples of Art Deco/Swedish Modernism in the UK, making an incredible backdrop, and talking point, for events.
Located between the buzz of Oxford Circus and the tranquility of Regent’s Park, the RIBA is easily accessible to a wealth of local London attractions such as Oxford Street, Marble Arch and a number of popular museums.
66 Portland Place is an iconic building located on an avenue known for its decadent Georgian architecture. Befitting our role as a global architectural professional body, we offer some of the finest facilities in London for high-level meetings, conferences, receptions and award dinners. From informal and intimate to creative and spectacular, the Museum’s variety of spaces prove extremely popular.
The Museum first opened its doors on 18 April 1881, but its origins stretch back to 1753. Hintze Hall, the museums largest and main event space, was most recently renovated in 2017.
