BEST NEW OR REFURBISHED VENUE
Convene at 22 Bishopsgate
Convene at 22 Bishopsgate has delivered a state-of-art hospitality-infused suite of large meeting and workspaces that are awash with natural light.
Five hybrid-enabled flexible auditorium rooms allow up to 700 people to be physically present, while technology built into the rooms’ fabric allows up to 10,000 people to attend virtually.
Our rooms allow us to deliver a true-hybrid meeting experience. Everything that could be required for a range of events, from small gatherings to large town hall meetings, is in one place. Integrated audio-visual equipment means there is no need to bring in sound gear and cameras, which can be bulky and expensive to hire for such one-off occasions.
The emphasis on hospitality has resulted in the hiring of 23 full-time staff to cater for clients’ needs, with the head chef joining from the Ennismore Group, which operates the Hoxton Hotel.
Responding to clients’ needs in a post-Covid environment is paramount. Working practices have changed, with varying numbers of staff working away from the office at different times. Mindful of the importance of retaining their corporate culture and ethos, clients can bring all their staff together in both a physical and virtual setting ‘under one roof’; a truly unique experience.

Stationers’ Hall
The redevelopment of Stationers’ Hall was a full-scale transformative project, designed to address the inflexibility of a Hall built in the 17th Century and to provide a modern energy-efficient building while still highlighting the history within. The Hall needed modernising in many ways, only being able to offer one event at a time was restrictive, and having no air conditioning and limited wheelchair access meant it was important that the design accommodated the demands of the 21st Century event organiser and fit for future generations.
We know the improvements we have made will enhance our offer but most importantly know that Stationers’ Hall and Garden is a special place and will continue to impress those that get to experience it. We can’t wait to see what the next momentous event is when we relaunch in July 2022 and are looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks of the results.
The Glass House
The Glass House is a brand new purpose built events venue, replacing the old Victorian glass houses used to provide hackney parks with its plants and flowers. After a £4.1 million restoration of Springfield park this space now provides a valuable and well thought out community space to benefit its local residents & business’ as well as being a fantastic wedding and private hire venue for clients all over London. The catering provision encourages the use of local Hackney business and provides options for many local cultural needs.
It’s innovative design has been cleverly thought out to provide the maximum level of natural light into the building with retractable skylights, panoramic views and french doors. It also boasts an exclusive terrace area allowing outside space for weddings and events which is a rarity for an inner city venue. The venue has 2 rooms – The Sky room and Orchard room and an inbuilt partition allowing clients the flexibility of break out areas or having separate spaces on their big day.
Hackney’s vision has been unique and pioneering and the end result benefits the local residents and business’ and the revenue stream can financially sustain the park it lives in.
