Lord’s Cricket Ground
It is not just cricket lovers that will be taken aback by the stunning view of the ground that can be seen from event spaces such as the J.P. Morgan Media Centre and the historic Long Room. Lord’s features a unique mix of traditional and modern infrastructure that is easy on the eye from every angle, not to mention the carpet-like lush green turf which acts a centrepiece to the impressive Ground.
Combining flexibility with creativity, the venue can provide anything from an intimate dining experience in the famous Players Dressing Rooms, to a large banqueting in the traditional Long Room, to niche drinks receptions in the inspirational MCC Museum to name a few.
The distinctiveness of Lord’s is coupled with practicality. The Ground is within 15 minutes’ walking distance of five separate tube stations and is also well served by buses, with several routes running alongside the Ground.
QEII Centre
The QEII Centre is the largest dedicated conference and exhibition space in central London and, since opening in 1986, has served as a trusted destination for hundreds of high-profile events – from press conferences, meetings and gala dinners, to exhibitions and global conventions – for up to 2,500 delegates.
The centre’s flexible facilities as well as its prime location with views of iconic buildings with a rich history are a huge draw for many types of clients – from tech companies and government organi-sations, to charities and associations – who attract national and international delegates for their events including AGMs, gala dinners and major conventions like the Education World Forum and software development conference QCon, both frequent clients.
While a major refurbishment was completed in 2016, improvement works continue, to ensure fa-cilities best meet client requirements as well as drive forward the offering and improve in areas such as sustainability and safety. Recent updates include the renovation of Mews Lift (which is de-signed to transport large kit, including vehicles) and installation of odour and infection control units in client and communal spaces to improve air quality and safety.
Sea Containers Events
Launched in 2017 and managed by Green & Fortune, Sea Containers Events (SCE) offers six event spaces on the 12th, 13th and 14th floors of the Sea Containers building on the South Bank.
Occupying over 25,000 sq ft of floor space, the venue boasts not just one stunning view, but several – each of the six event spaces feature floor-to-ceiling windows and outside terraces with breath-taking views over the Thames and the London skyline.
The spaces are capable of hosting numbers from 10 to 120 for dinners, cocktail receptions for 250, and an amphitheatre for presentations of up to 200 The show-stopping space however is the 220 capacity Roof Terrace situated behind the iconic Sea Containers letters The Roof Terrace also overlooks the Thames with a magnificent 360 degree panoramic view Larger-scale events up to 600 can also be hosted by hiring multiple spaces.
Searcys at the Gherkin
Across the top three floors of one of the City of London’s most iconic landmarks, Searcys at the Gherkin is a hugely versatile event space. The venue offers unrivalled 360º views for any event. Guests can enjoy an uninterrupted backdrop of London, looking over the Thames, winding its way through boroughs and parkland. Five private dining rooms on Level 38 are available for small meetings and intimate events. Levels 39 and 40 host 140 guests for seated dinners or for 260 guests for glittering cocktail receptions, presentations, product launches and weddings, and are also home to a popular Searcys public restaurant and champagne bar.
The venue is now getting over 500 event enquiries a month. Since June 2021, we have hosted over 560 events for 19,100 guests, and the Gherkin restaurant and bar have welcomed 43,000+ diners. Recent event clients range from Lorraine Pascal Wedding Circle; a Crypto Drinks Reception, Dentist on the Rock convention and dinner, Buyagift Galantines Day event, and Toyota’s Summer Party. In 2021-2022, The Gherkin team raised £4k for hospitality charity Beyond Food and almost £2k for #CookforUkraine with UNICEF as part of Searcys sustainability pledges.
Skylight Peckham
2022 marks the first summer on the terrace at Skylight Peckham, the new South London venue famous for beautiful cocktails, great live music, fantastic food, all with a truly breathtaking vista of the iconic London Skylight. Atop of the Mountview Academy, the venue offers sights of Big Ben and the London Eye right across St Paul and the City to Canary Wharf and The o2. Skylight Peckham is the perfect, buzzy spot for whiling away long summer days and balmy nights, boasting the best views of London alongside great food, killer cocktails, local DJs and live music.
The venue works closely with the local community, supporting and booking local artists and collaborating with local entertainment partners. They launched a Drag Brunch run by a student of the Mountview Academy below, and launched a Dame Judi Dench cocktail in partnership with the notable alum, raising money for those who may need financial support throughout their study. The team were also approached by the famed Taste of London festival and ran a successful preview event on the rooftop to press and influencers ahead of the festival’s opening this summer.
Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks that graces the London skyline and is certainly our best venue with a view.
Not only is Tower Bridge one of the most recognisable buildings in the world, it is also the only bridge in the world you can host an event on. The event itself is held in the walkways, 42 meters above the River Thames.
Clients can hire both the east and west walkways, giving them a panoramic view across London. Not only can you see far along the Thames on both sides, but clients can also look down through the glass walkways and have a unique view of the bridge below, made even more special when the bridge is raised, giving them a view very few people get to see.
