Best Venue Team – up to 30 Team Members
{10-11} Carlton House Terrace
Named after the Greek muse of history and storytelling, Clio is the twelve-strong venue team at {10-11} Carlton House Terrace, home to the British Academy. A multicultural collective speaking seven languages, with backgrounds spanning luxury hospitality, fine art, fashion and finance, they’ve built a reputation for delivering exceptional events with warmth, precision and minimum fuss.
Led by Head of Venue Sales and Marketing Catherine, the team serves clients ranging from international governments and FTSE-listed companies to inclusive fashion campaigns and intimate celebrations, bringing the same resourcefulness and attentiveness every time. Profits from every event support the Academy’s charitable mission, giving the team’s work a purpose beyond commercial success.
Recent highlights include a technically complex multilingual conference for the Libyan British Business Council, described as the best venue the client has used in years of organising London conferences, and a high-profile brand launch for Maison Perrier UK, attended by celebrity VIP Lily Collins.
Committed to continuous development, inclusive marketing and accessibility, Clio has transformed a 200-year-old building into one of London’s most technically capable and culturally relevant venues, united by a shared commitment to excellence for every client they serve.
10 Union Street
The events team at 10 Union Street is a tight-knit group of six management staff with combined experience of 30 years, supported by flexible serving staff depending on event scale. Despite our compact size, we operate with the efficiency of a much larger department, built on close collaboration and shared accountability.
This year, our focus has been growing direct bookings, reducing reliance on third-party commission, and making the venue accessible to a wider range of businesses. We achieved this through increased visibility across third-party listing platforms and an unwavering commitment to responding to every enquiry within the hour; a standard the team treats as non-negotiable.
Our standout initiative was the Summer Essentials package; a deliberately accessible, fixed-price offer designed to invite lower-budget companies to experience 10 Union Street for the first time, with the aim of building long-term relationships rather than simply filling quieter dates.
With only six management staff, every team member plays a visible, critical role, fostering a culture of mutual support and hands-on mentoring. We believe our combination of commercial ambition, accessibility, and genuine care for every enquiry regardless of size makes us truly deserving of this award.

London Transport Museum
What makes this team exceptional is the scale of transformation achieved in such a short time. In under two years, a newly formed team has:
• Doubled venue hire income from £400,000 to over £800,000
• Implemented a new team structure, staffing model and supplier strategy
• Enhanced capacity within gallery spaces, increasing seated dinners from 150 to 230 guests
• Introduced cabaret style daytime meetings for conferences which had previously been challenged as the team have been brave to challenge historic blockers
• Launched social media channels for venue hire for the first time
Simultaneously whilst all the above has been taking place, the team are also balancing inputting data driven strategies into LTM50, a multimillion-pound capex project at the museum which will transform current venue hire spaces and introduce an industry level conference facility.
The London Transport Museum Venue Hire Team exemplifies what the Best Venue Team award stands for: commercial excellence, innovation, collaboration and commitment to client experience. We are making big strides in becoming a major leading venue in London.
One Marylebone
One Marylebone’s success as a premium London events venue is inseparable from the team that delivers it. Combining operational precision with genuine creative energy, this integrated group of sales, operations, catering and production professionals consistently exceeds expectations across some of the capital’s most complex and high-profile events.
What makes this team distinctive begins with culture. A deliberately non-hierarchical structure encourages collaboration at every level, while a transparency-led management approach, including full visibility of annual budgets and genuine autonomy in client negotiations, has built a working environment defined by mutual trust. The result is a team that is engaged, empowered and aligned around a shared commitment to excellence.
That commitment shows in the work. The team regularly transforms the venue across multiple formats in a single day, develops innovative capabilities such as 360-degree projection and a faux florals division, and has reimagined the client journey through the celebrated Elevated Showround concept.
Wellbeing is taken seriously too, with flexible working, peer recognition and a creative break initiative that sends colleagues out together to seek inspiration and share it with the wider team.
Inspired people deliver inspired events. At One Marylebone, that belief shapes everything.
