Sustainability Award for Caterers
Boulevard Events
Boulevard Events is a second-generation family business, founded in East London in 1988 and built on long-term relationships, great food and doing the right thing. Today, we deliver everything from workplace catering and conferences to weddings and large-scale events, guided by our values of Integrity, Inclusivity and Innovation.
Sustainability is embedded into daily operations through our Boulevard Blueprint and Zero by Habit frameworks. We operate a 100% electric delivery fleet, among the first UK caterers to eliminate single-use plastic serviceware, track Scope 1–3 emissions and monitor waste across four streams. Fairtrade-certified, working towards ISO 14001 and B Corp certification.
Food systems focus on circularity and low-impact sourcing. Through partnerships, Angry Monk, Hodmedod’s and East London Mushroom Collective, we champion rescued produce, regenerative farming and closed-loop growing systems. Average Angry Monk order saves 62.3kg CO₂e, while our chef-led Jamie’s Conscious Edit menus deliver estimated carbon reductions of 18–30%.
Social impact sits alongside environmental action. Menu for Many with Refugee Community Kitchen, fundraising, volunteering, employment pathways create measurable community benefit. We’ve developed dedicated redistribution routes for every surplus stream, including same-night donation of 600 surplus meals from a Troxy event.
Sustainability isn’t a policy – it’s how we operate and grow
Dinner Ladies
Dinner Ladies is a female founded, London-based catering company who transform events into experiences using food, artistry and the power of people. We believe in the power of food for positive change and are on a mission to lead the charge in transforming sustainability in London’s catering scene. We are incredibly proud to have recently attained B Corp certification; a milestone reflecting our defining commitment to people, planet, and building a truly sustainable business.
As part of this commitment, we work with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, and suppliers who share our values, prioritising small independent suppliers, and female founders where possible. Our offerings also include lower carbon footprint vegan and vegetarian menus, reusable and compostable packaging, and delivery via a zero-emissions electric van, ensuring that every event we cater is as sustainable as it is delicious. We are also proud to offer all suppliers and clients the opportunity to contribute to our Sharing Plates initiative which aims to tackle both food waste and food insecurity in London.
Eden Caterers
For more than 30 years, Eden Caterers has been feeding London. Today, we’re just as passionate about the impact behind every meal as what ends up on the plate.
After winning this award in 2024, we saw it not as a finish line, but as motivation to go further. This year, our efforts delivered a 24% reduction in carbon emissions, putting us ahead of our reduction pathway and helping us achieve an emissions intensity estimated to be around 80% lower than the wider food and catering sector average.
Sustainability at Eden isn’t driven by targets alone. It’s found in the everyday choices our team makes: sourcing locally (our butcher is quite literally next door), creating seasonal menus, making the vast majority of our food to order, reducing waste before it happens and delivering across London with a fleet that is now 75% electric.
Alongside reducing our own impact, we’ve worked closely with clients and customers to help drive change together, launching Sustainability Stakeholder Groups and supporting more sustainable catering choices.
Behind every statistic is a team of people who genuinely care. Together, we’re proving that low-carbon catering can be practical, measurable and something people are proud to be part of.
Green & Fortune
Founded in 2008, Green & Fortune is an independent hospitality business where sustainability, provenance and social impact are embedded into every aspect of operations. In 2026, we achieved B Corp certification this year, recognising years of investment in responsible business practices and a sustainability strategy that has also delivered significant annual savings.
Our approach combines commercial performance with measurable environmental and social impact. 100% of suppliers are assessed against ESG criteria with a focus on low food miles and smaller, artisan products. All used cooking oil is converted into biofuel and single-use plastic disposables have been eliminated from guest operations.
Through our own Northumberland farm, Corneyside Farm, we deliver field-to-fork transparency, regenerative farming practices and whole-animal utilisation across retail and events. We have also introduced more sustainable seafood sourcing, responsible ingredient procurement and data-led purchasing through our new procurement platform.
Beyond environmental impact, we are proud to pay above the London Living Wage, invest in future talent through our Talent Seed programme and have helped raise more than £355,000 for charities including Hospitality Action, The Clink and the London Irish Centre.
By embedding sustainability into client proposals, menus and operations, we continue to deliver hospitality that is Served with Purpose.
Houston & Hawkes
Houston & Hawkes was founded with a clear purpose: to redefine hospitality through a people-first, socially conscious and environmentally responsible approach. Since 2019, sustainability has been embedded into every aspect of our growth, shaping how we operate, partner and innovate across a diverse portfolio of venues.
As the first B Corp certified contract caterer and the first to receive a King’s Award for Sustainable Development we are proud to lead from the front. Our approach combines measurable impact with everyday practicality, from carbon-labelled menus and zero-waste recipes to sourcing over 90% of ingredients locally and independently. Plant-forward dining now represents over a third of all meals served, while real-time waste tracking and evolving technologies continue to drive meaningful reductions.
Crucially, sustainability is the core of our culture. Through training, supplier engagement and our network of B Corp Champions, our teams are empowered to take ownership and drive change on the ground.
We work in true partnership with our clients, aligning with their ambitions to deliver tangible environmental and social impact, from low-carbon menu design to community food redistribution.
The result is exceptional hospitality and responsible business that go hand in hand, delivering lasting value for people, planet and partners alike.
Jimmy Garcia Catering
Jimmy Garcia Catering has embedded sustainability into every part of the business, from sourcing and operations to team wellbeing and community impact. Building on a long track record of innovation, the company has expanded its approach over the past 18 months to cover environmental, social and supply chain responsibility, culminating in B Corp certification in January 2026.
To strengthen this journey, Jimmy Garcia Catering introduced a dedicated Sustainability Lead, formed a cross-business working group, and began measuring Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. The business also became zero to landfill from April 2025, introduced a Responsible Sourcing Code, and improved staff benefits, wellbeing support and development opportunities. Internal promotion, team growth and Carbon Literacy training have further embedded sustainability into company culture.
Its community impact is equally strong, with surplus food donations to Oasis Waterloo Community Fridge exceeding 3,000 meals, plus skills-sharing partnerships with Share Community. The business also continues to champion traceable, local and responsible sourcing through creative storytelling and supplier transparency. Jimmy Garcia Catering is proving that premium catering and responsible business can go hand in hand.
